01-10-2013 13:48

Protecting the rights and interests of children, first and foremost, orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as creating proper conditions for their education and development, is a priority in Ukraine's state policy. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this in his greeting on the occasion of the Adoption Day.

According to Azarov, about 2,000 families adopt orphans in Ukraine every year, instilling faith, hope and love in the children's souls and hearts. "Ukrainians, while adopting children who lost their families in different circumstances and were left without parental care, reveal the best human feelings and moral virtues .. We sincerely welcome and are proud of families who adopted an orphan. We believe that parents and children whom fate brought together will be happy," the head of government said. He also thanked employees of state agencies, services, institutions, public and charitable organizations for daily laborious and responsible work that helps resolve the problems of orphans and children deprived of parental care.
