Inter-country adoption from Nepal has come to a standstill with the Ministry for Women, Children and Social welfare (WCSW) receiving no application from foreign parents for adoption after the government adopted strict measures in 2009.
The ministry has not received even a single application for inter-country adoption in 2011.
